What happens when an English Master of Wine and a maverick South African make wine in Spain?

La Báscula Catalan Eagle Garnacha Blanca/Viognier 2013, Terra Alta, Spain (£9.99  D.Byrne & Co,  Highbury Vintners, Noel Young Wines, Viader Vintners, Woodwinters, Flagship Wines)
Combines the apricot and peach kernel of Viognier, with heady floral honey and honeysuckle of Garnacha, then adds in some creamy nuttiness too but there’s enough tang (maybe from the dribble of Roussanne?) to keep it all fresh and perky. S(-)
