Shiraz from South Africa and Australia

Warm and ripe with a dusty plummy character and a touch of chocolate wafer biscuit. There’s also a slight edge of volatility when you smell it, but while this blends in with the fruit flesh, the tannins are just a touch dry, and the finish lacks suppleness B-

Very tasty young wine, with brooding plum, berry and blackcurrant flesh pepped up by notes of mint, dark chocolate and earthy spices. Concentrated but never too intense, and the fresh finish hints at a promising future. S(-)
