Pale and gentle, with a herbal-scented rose hip character alongside the fresh and lightly cooked strawberry flavours, fresh but persistent, could happily take a light chill on a summer day. S-

Santa Rita ‘National Gallery’ Pinot Noir 2016, Aconcagua Valley, Chile (£8.50 Sainsbury’s)
Quite full and rich in style, but a bit angular and disjointed, with a slightly medicinal edge to the juicy dark cherry flavours, and a rather too load overlay of toasty oak. B-
