Two Pinot Noirs from Chile & California

Estevez Pinot Noir 2016, Valle Central, Chile (£4.79 Aldi)
Perhaps the oak is a bit clunky, and there’s a slight medicinal note, but at the price, it’s hard to complain about the gentle, every-so-slightly jammy, juicy strawberry-ish little number. C+

Parker Station Pinot Noir 2015, California (£13.50-£14.50 The Wine Society)
A real crowd pleaser, with light floral herby notes to the voluptuous cherry and red berry flavours, and warm, plush finish. B+
