Viña Mara Rioja Reserva 2008, Spain

Made for Tesco by Baron de Ley, this 100% Tempranillo Rioja is pretty decent grog

Viña Mara Rioja Reserva 2008, Spain (£9.49 Tesco)
Calm, mellow and relaxed Rioja, with classic velvety vanilla sheen and coconutty allure adding extra layers to the gentle red berry and orange peel flavours. Mature, but still has some juicy freshness and tannin, which should keep it in fine fettle for another few years to come. S

Great summary, thank you. Bought a couple of bottles and thought they were delicious.
Good on coconut and vanilla, with a sweetness from dried berries too I thought.

Should have trusted your tasting notes more – like other residents of my local town evidently did – for when I returned to replace….they had sold out!
