Two wines from Georgia

Khareba Mtsvane 2013, Kakheti, Georgia (£9.95 Tanners)
Not huge amount of aroma initially but opens up to show some citrus and pear notes, plus a pine-like aroma and touches of honey and walnuts. Maybe not as crisp as it could be, but I like the rounded texture. B(-)

Khareba Saperavi 2013, Kakheti, Georgia (£9.95 Tanners)
Has a little of that central European tomato-and-beetroot-like earthiness when you sniff it but when you come it taste it, that character recedes, leaving the plush plum, damson and blackberry flavours to emerge. Not hugely complex, but a juicy and honest glass of wine. B(+)
